Common questions

I bought credits and they didn't appear

Force-quit and reopen the app. Underfiction queries the App Store or Google Play on launch for any unfinished purchases and applies the credits.

If credits still don't appear after a relaunch, email us with the date of purchase and the credit pack you bought. Apple and Google retain a record of every transaction; we can reconcile against it.

I'm out of credits

Open Settings → Credits and pick a pack. Credits don't expire and there is no subscription.

A turn failed mid-stream

A failed turn isn't charged. Settlement only debits your wallet when the model returns a complete response — if a generation aborts, the reservation is released and your balance returns to where it was.

If failures persist on a particular scene, try switching models from Settings → Model. Different providers handle long contexts differently.

Stories aren't syncing across devices

Local-only stories live on your device and don't sync. To sync a story, sign in with the same account on both devices and open each story once on the device that has it — the next sync uploads it to the cloud.

Cloud-synced stories are encrypted at rest on our servers. AI generation still sends story context to the model provider.
