How credits work
A credit is one cent of writing
Packs start at 500 credits for $5. Larger packs cost the same per credit, and credits don't expire.
What a turn costs
A turn bills what the model writes: the prose and the thinking behind it. It also bills the recent scene text the model re-reads before it writes, so a turn costs more as the scene grows. The number in the model picker is a typical turn. Yours moves with the story and the length of the reply.
Long scenes
Past the newest stretch of a long scene, older turns are read as short notes rather than in full. That happens on its own. Ending a scene writes its summary, and the summary is free.
Images and clips
An image or a clip has a fixed price, shown before you press. An image's style never changes its price. A clip's price follows its length, resolution and sound, and the number updates as you change them.
A turn that fails bills nothing
An error, an empty reply, or a reply the runaway guard cut short costs nothing.
Holds
A turn in flight sets aside a hold the size of a long reply and releases it when the turn settles. The hold only decides whether another turn can start right now. The balance you see is the settled one; a hold never shows in it.
Every charge is on record
Top-ups are listed on the credits page. Each charge sits on what it paid for: open a turn's or an image's model info and its cost is there, in credits.
How to spend less
Model choice moves the price most; the picker shows each model's rate. Response length set to Brief Beats bills less prose per turn, and so does a custom direction that asks for shorter replies. A long scene re-reads more with every turn: end it, let the free summary carry it, and open the next.
