Affiliate terms

The program

The Underfiction affiliate program pays publishers a commission on purchases made by readers they refer. Joining requires an application and manual approval; approval, rejection, and suspension are at Underfiction's sole discretion. The program is run by Stefan Hoschkara, the operator of Underfiction.

Commissions

An approved affiliate earns 30% of the amount actually paid on every credit purchase a referred reader makes during the 12 months after their signup. The base is the money actually received — bonus credits, promotional grants, and free credits earn no commission.

A reader counts as referred when they sign up within 30 days of following the affiliate's link. Attribution is last-touch within the program and one affiliate per reader, fixed at signup. A reader claimed by the invite program (a personal referral code or a shared story) is not claimable by an affiliate — whichever attached first wins, and the invite program wins ties.

Referrals of yourself, of accounts you control, or of accounts created to route your own spending through your link earn nothing and are grounds for suspension.

Payouts

Each commission becomes payable 45 days after its purchase, once refunds and disputes have had time to settle. Payouts are made monthly to the payout method on file — PayPal, or USDC/USDT on Base or Ethereum — once the payable balance reaches $50. Balances below the minimum roll forward; they are not forfeited. Other payout methods may be arranged individually; before a first payout we may ask for the legal name and any details the payment rail requires.

If a purchase is refunded, disputed, or charged back, the commission on it is reversed. Reversals apply immediately and offset the payable balance; if the balance has already been paid out, the reversal offsets future commissions.

Your obligations

Disclose the affiliate relationship wherever you use your link, as your jurisdiction's advertising rules require — in the United States that is the FTC's endorsement guides, in the EU the consumer-protection rules on commercial communication.

Underfiction is an 18+ product. Promote it only where your audience is adult, and never to minors. Don't misrepresent what the product is or does, don't spam, don't bid on Underfiction's own name in search advertising, and don't imitate Underfiction's site or accounts.

Termination and changes

Either side can end the relationship at any time. On termination for cause — fraud, self-referral, or a breach of the obligations above — unpaid commissions are void. On termination without cause, earned commissions are paid out on the normal schedule, and existing referrals keep earning until their windows lapse.

These terms and the commission rate can change with notice on this page; changes never apply retroactively to commissions already earned.
